Brenda Catherine Clifford, 85, of Stoutsville, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Hannibal Regional Hospital with family by her side.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Arnold Funeral Home.
Brenda was born on October 16, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas. On July 19, 1959 she married Clayton "Bill" Clifford in Wichita.
Bill and Brenda made their home in Dubuque, Iowa when Bill accepted a position with the John Deere Tractor Company. Brenda devoted many of her working years to the Dubuque Stamping Company, where she served as an executive secretary and floor manager. Brenda later found great enjoyment in bowling, competing in three leagues with friends and participating in local tournaments. She was especially proud to be a member of the "600 Club." Together, Bill and Brenda shared a love of travel, journeying across the United States in their motorhome, visiting all of the lower 48 states, as well as Alaska, Canada, and parts of Europe.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton "Bill" Clifford of Stoutsville; three children, Cathy (Robert) Kleinsorge of Stoutsville, Bill (Carol) Clifford, Jr. of Arvada, CO and Christy Clifford Bills of Waukee, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Justin Clifford, Bobby (Kamber) Kleinsorge, Tori (Travis) Kleinsorge Feger, Alex (Sadie) Clifford, Jeni (RJ) Clifford, Sam (Rhys) Clifford and Amanda (Jesse) Bills Foltz; 10 great-grandchildren, Shadyn (Tiffany) Kleinsorge, Landyn Kleinsorge, Gabriel (Zoe) Kleinsorge, Clayton Clifford, Pearson Kleinsorge, Lillian Blackburn, Brysen Feger, Brantly Foltz, Noah Blackburn and Eason Foltz; one great-great-grandchild, Huntleigh Grace Kleinsorge and another expected in August.
Brenda was preceded in death by mother and father-in-law, William and Majorie Clifford; three brothers-in-law, Lester Clifford and Jim Clifford; three sisters-in-law, Vivian Clifford, Sherry Clifford and Karen Clifford.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or Towers to Tunnels. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
