Betty Jean Tucker, 85, of Moberly, passed away at 10:59 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at North Village Park in Moberly.

Private Family Services will be at a later date.

Betty was born on October 7, 1936, in Lake County, Tennessee, the daughter of Robert Harrison and Allie May (Waynick) Swofford. She married James David Tucker and he preceded her in death in 1994.

Mrs. Tucker was an over the road, coast to coast truck driver for many years with her husband, Jim. This was during the time when women truck drivers were seldom heard of or allowed.

Survivors include her children, Debra Trabue of Mexico; Gregory (Tammy) Donaldson of Washington; Sonja Unger of Wellsville, Walter "Jr." (DeAnn) Berger of New Haven, Anthony "Tony" (Donna) Branson of Hermann and Penny Sue (John) Foster of Wellsville; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ester Swofford of New Haven; and three nephews, Jeffrey, Timothy and Kenneth Swofford.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two ex-husbands, brother, William "Bill" Swofford; daughter-in-law, Susie Branson; son-in-law, Tim Unger; a nephew and two granddaughters.
