Mary Beth Lewton, 65, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at her home.

A Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico. Memorial Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Lewton officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Beth was born on October 10, 1956, in Hannibal, the daughter of Robert M. and Marilena (Caldwell) Willett. She graduated from Hannibal High School in 1975 and then attended the University of Missouri for a year, majoring in Engineering.

On January 8, 1977, in Hannibal, she married the love of her life, Jeffrey "Gus" Lewton.

Upon moving to Mexico in 1978 for Gus to open Custom Auto Glass, Beth started her own career at Aldi's in Mexico, where she worked for 11 years. Once their children were born, she began her most important role as a stay-at-home mom for many years. Once the kids were older, she went back to the workforce and worked as a mail carrier for 15 years for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2020.

In her free time, Beth enjoyed reading, cooking and swimming. Above all, she loved her family.  Her favorite role was as 'G' to her grandkids Will and Ella, whom she shared a particularly special relationship. Anyone who knew her would agree she was one of the kindest people you would ever meet, with an infectious smile and a heart of gold.

Survivors include her husband, Gus Lewton of Mexico; one daughter, Katie (Austin) Swon of Auxvasse; one son, Tyler Lewton of Farber; two grandchildren, Will and Ella Swon; two brothers, Brad (Donna) Willett of Hannibal and Brent Willett of Santa Fe; two sisters, Becky (Marty) Judlowe of New London and Brandee Willett of Hannibal; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Bruce Willett.
