Barbara Ann Neumann, 87, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2025 at her home.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Arnold Funeral Home. Russ Pflasterer will be officiating the service.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Barbara was born on January 3, 1938 in Bellflower, the daughter of Robert Love and Hetty (Gowins) Love. On June 30, 1957, she married Hans Neumann in Bellflower.

Barbara worked as a librarian/aide for the Mexico Public Schools for over 20 years. She and Hans taught many years of Sunday school at the First Presbyterian Church in Mexico, and were leaders in 4-H.

She had a creative spirit that shone through everything she did, whether she was painting a new piece, working on arts and crafts, or whipping up one of the home-cooked meals. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of her cooking, and her home was filled with the love and laughter of family gathered around her. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved, and her gentle presence, artistic touch, and warm hospitality will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Survivors include her husband, Hans of the home; a daughter Christine (Todd Marshall) Alexander of Mexico; five grandchildren, Austin (Michaela) Alexander of Mexico, Bailee Alexander and Luka of Phoenix, AZ, Virginia Neumann of Mexico, Zackary Neumann of California and Michael Muellerleile of California; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Ester Kimbley of High Hill; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hetty Love; one son, Richard Neumann, as well as six brothers and sisters.
