Arthur Gale Allen, 73, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, at the Elks Lodge at 1705 Christopher Drive in Mexico. Rev. Chris Atkinson will officiate and the family requests casual dress.

Arthur was born on November 10, 1948, in Mexico, the son of Arthur Joe and Oda Sue (Riddle) Allen. On August 8, 1987, in Mexico, he married Janice Sue Adams.

Mr. Allen was a 1966 graduate of Mexico High School. He worked over 30 years at A.P. Greens, retiring in 2002.

Arthur was a member of Centennial Baptist Church and a charter member of the Mexico Elks Club. He very much enjoyed numerous hobbies and having coffee at Hardees every morning.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Allen of the home; one step-daughter, Crystal Sutton of the home; two grandchildren, Lee Thomas Allen (Erin) of Union and Stephanie Hudson (Cris) of Centralia; and two great-grandchildren, Connor Allen and Adrian Hudson.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Shanna Sutton.
