Alfred Paul Schott, 87, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Donaldo Sonntag officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Paul was born on April 29, 1937, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Norbert and Claire (Dean) Schott. He married Ursula Strepp on February 29, 1972, in New Douglas, Illinois.

Paul found joy in fishing and cherished the companionship of his friends at the Mexico Senior Center. He achieved his Doctorate in Education from Saint Louis University, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning and knowledge.

Survivors include his wife, Ursula; four children, Tina (Arthur) Mendonca of Germany, Philip Schott of Jefferson City, Natalie Schott of Falmouth, UK and J.P. (Lauren) Schott of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, Luke, Anya, Liam, Bella and Claire Mendonca and Trevor and Caleb Schott; and one brother, Ted (Kathy) Schott of Collinsville, IL.

Paul was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Anne Rustad.
