Obituary
Carole Anne Barker, 73 of Mexico, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Carole was born Jan. 25, 1937 in Kansas City, the daughter of Thomas David and Willa Dee (Still) Bonville Sr. On June 11, 1955, she married Marion Willard Barker at the First Baptist Church in Buckner. He died on May 23, 2000.
Mrs. Barker was a member of Centennial Baptist Church. She had been a secretary at Hickman High School and was a homemaker. Her favorite thing to do was play the piano and she was an excellent cook. Carole was active in every church her husband was a minister, which included teaching Sunday school.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Schutte and husband, Kenny of Mexico; one son, David (Bill) Barker and wife, Vickie of Mexico; four grandchildren, Samantha (Doug) Brower of Mexico, David Barker Jr. of Mexico, Andy (Melissa) Barker of Illinois and Bridget (Steve) Demerest of Mexico; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas David (Linda) Bonville Jr. of Kansas City.
In addition to her husband, Carole was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the Centennial Baptist Church.
