Obituary
Robert Roy Goff, 85 of Benton City, died at 9:23 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at Audrain Medical Center.
Bob was born Jan. 8, 1925 in Hallsville, the son of Robert Brian and Nannie (Ligon) Goff. In June 1963, he married Beatrice Dougherty in Mexico. She died on Nov. 13, 1995.
Mr. Goff had worked at Audrain Medical Center for 17 years. He loved fishing and camping.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin (Susie Davenport) Goff of Benton City and Bill (Laura) Goff of Laddonia; one daughter, Eljena (Horace J.) Finchum of Elkhart, Ind.; three step-sons, Fred (Linda) Forster of Mexico, Jim (Nancy) Wright of Elkhart, Ind. and John (Cheri) Wright of Elkhart, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Belts of Mexico, Nadine Farrah of Thompson and Louise Abbott of Mexico; one brother, Charles Goff of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by one son, Robert Eugene Goff; one step-son, Raymond Forster; two brothers, Henry Goff and David Goff; and one sister, Ruby Chenoweth.
