Obituary
Leona C. Pietruszka, 90 of Mexico, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at The Arbors at Lakeview Bend in Mexico.
Leona was born on Dec. 30, 1919 in Monroe County, the daughter of Gordie Gilbert and Leah Mills. On July 27, 1963 she married Victor J. Pietruszka in Yuma, Arizona. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1999.
They made their home in San Diego, California, moving back to Mexico in 1988. She was a Christian by faith and very much enjoyed her dog Tinker.
She is survived by three brothers, Leonard Mills and Mary of Benton City, Richard Mills and Janis of Mexico, and Dennis Mills and Becky of Centralia; three sisters, Lola Mae Knipfel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Barbara Mortimer and Edwin of Centralia, and Ruth Killian and Alden of Centralia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
