Obituary
June Lee Henderson, 85 of Mexico, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Fulton Nursing & Rehab.
June was born on June 30, 1924 in Milo, MO, the daughter of Jhent Layne and Blanch Clara (McNeese) Mills. She was first married to Leroy Clare Walters and later to Frank Daniel Henderson. Both preceded her in death.
June was a long time waitress at the Air Park Restaurant and late in life she also worked as a courier for Lanter Company. In 1956 she was selected as one of the top eight waitresses in the state. In the summertime she loved flowers and snow in the winter.
She is survived by a son Jack Walters and his wife Shirley of Sapulpa, OK, and daughters Sandy Greene and husband David of Fulton, MO and Barb Stingley and husband Danny of Overland Park, KS. She is also survived by grandchildren; Kendra Walters of Tulsa, OK, Shelly Lincoln of Martinsburg, Alesha Smith of Mexico, Travis Dean of Fulton, Cara Stingley and Brianna Stingley both of Overland Park, KS, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons; Terry and Tom Walters and two brothers; Harold and William “Bill” Mills.
