A memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at East Lawn Memorial Park for the ashes of John and Iva Jo Botkin.
Iva Jo Botkin was born on June 4, 1928 in Mexico. She died on Dec. 4, 2007 in Grand Junction, Colorado.
She was married to John Botkin for 58 years.
John was born in Mexico on May 15, 1926 and passed away Jan. 23, 2010 in Colorado.
John and Iva Jo raised their 3 children; Steve Botkin of Grand Junction, CO, Mike Botkin of Ormond Beach, FL, and Velma Edstrom of Grand Junction, CO. She was a homemaker and also worked for eleven years at Hawthorne Elementary as a library aide.
John was a veteran of the U.S.Army, serving in the Pacific during WWII. He worked for Missouri Farmer's Association, Archer Daniels and opened his own grain inspection service until his retirement.
In addition to their 3 children, they are survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
