Obituary
Gene Harold Tyree, 70 of Mexico, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Golden Living Center – Pin Oaks.
Gene was born Feb. 28, 1940 in Tabor City, N.C., the son of Robert Durant and Olivia Idell (Ward) Tyree.
Mr. Tyree was a journeyman electrician and helped wire the nuclear plant in Callaway County in 1981. He was a Baptist by faith and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Tyree of Mexico and his daughter, Celena of Mexico/Columbia area and Morris (Pam) Tyree and their children, Anna, Jonathan, Lydia and Rachel, all of China Grove, N.C.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Tyree.
