Obituary
Eliza Kyles, 86 of Mexico, died at 6:57 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Audrain Medical Center.
Eliza was born Jan. 1, 1924 in Morehead, Mississippi, the daughter of Hayes and Effie (Flemings) Bankhead. On Dec. 20, 1946 in Indianola, Mississippi, she married Adolphus “Bubba” Kyles. He died on July 26, 2009.
Mrs. Kyles was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. Years ago, she had worked at Head Start and St. Brendan Church.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Lula Harris of Corona, CA, Ezell (wife Marsha) Reaves of Daytona Beach, FL, Tommie Lee Atkins of Belzoni, MS, Bernice (husband Charles) Fry of Mexico, Maryann Hayes of Cincinnati,Ohio, Evan (wife Lois) Branigan of Ft. Wayne, IN, Doris Childs of Chicago, IL, Catherine Childs of Rock Island, IL, Lonzo Childs of Rock Island, IL, Jerry Childs of Chicago, IL, and Charlotte Childs of Ft. Worth, TX; and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Eliza was preceded in death by an infant son; her brothers and sisters, Frank Wells, Sam Wells, Gertrude Hughes, Willie Gillion, Sallie Branigan, Nicy Coleman, Rufus Bankhead, Catherine Reaves, Dora Lue and Hazel Childs; and one niece, Patricia Childs.
Memorials may be made to the Second Missionary Baptist Church.
