Obituary
Agnes Theresa Fisher, 78 of Mexico, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at Teal Lake Assisted Living Center.
Agnes was born Oct. 14, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Michael Albert and Agnes Louise (Ryan) Grannan. On March 3, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio, she married Richard Normand Fisher. He died on June 11, 2009.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharist Minister for the sick and member of the Ladies Sodality. Agnes had volunteered in the school systems in Mexico, working in the library at St. Brendan School, and in Coffeyville, Kansas, where she was a para-educator for disabled children. She was a homemaker, loved to quilt and was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include her children, Thomas (Beth) Fisher of Ocala, FL, Fred (Tara) Fisher of Coffeyville, KS, Sue (Jim) Webster of Houston, TX, Carol (Will) Stricker of Wichita, KS, Joan (John) Stephenson of Oklahoma City, OK, Bette (Bruce) Moore of Pittsburgh, PA, Jim Fisher of Charleston, SC, Steve (Lori) Fisher of Dubuque, IA and Thad (Amy) Fisher of Mexico, Missouri. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Agnes was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
