Obituary
Robert Gilbert Berry, 96 of Mexico, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at his home.
He was born January 27, 1914 in Callaway County to John Chester and Ella Mary (Craighead) Berry. On March 30, 1939 he married Belle America Watts in Portland, Oregon. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2010.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis Gale Berry of Mexico, Aurbin Chester “Pete” Berry of Salisbury, Francis Alan “Frank” Berry and wife Jacquelynn of Moberly, and a daughter Rose Evelyn Wright and husband Tom of Thompson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by one son Robert Kenneth “Bob” Berry; three brothers, Marvin “Chuck” Berry, Lewis Glenwood Berry and wife Lottie, and Thomas Berry and wife Selma and two sisters, Annabelle Hamilton and husband Jack and Mary Elizabeth Kessler and husband John.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church where he was a member.
