Obituary
Geraldine Mae Fort, 91 of Martinsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 12 Noon at Boone Hospital with her five children beside her.

Geraldine was born on May 19, 1918 in Callaway County, near Shamrock, to Samuel MaGee and Edna Browning (McCown) Boswell. She was married on Nov. 26, 1938 to Morris Andrew Fort, Jr. in Mexico by Judge J.D. Greer. Morris preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1983.

She will be greatly missed by her children which include; two sons, Howard Fort and wife Carolyn of Martinsburg, Bob Fort and wife Marilyn of Martinsburg, three daughters, Karen Gruber of Kansas City, Pat Fort of Springfield, and Andrea Fletcher of Mexico. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Greg Fort and wife Cindy, Bill Fort and Kari Fritschie, Jim Fort, Robyn Pope, Mark Fort and Teresa, Jeff Fort and Michelle, Ben Gruber, Brenna and Jeremy Mann, Jason and Angel Swindell, Megan Swindell and Michael Link, her great-grandchildren; Ethan , Lance, and Cody Fort, Jill and John Savage, Jacob Pope, Christina and Joe Martinez, Delaney Grace Mann, Josie Pearl Swindell, Malachi Swindell, Trevor, Zach, Alli, and Rachel Fort, and her great-great-grandchildren; Tyler and Todd Savage, Izabela and Xavier Martinez, and Kaitlyn Pope.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, her only brother Harold Boswell and his wife Charlotte, her daughter-in-law Frances Fort, and her son-in-law Dick Gruber.

She was a member of Liberty Christian Church and had volunteered at Community R-VI and Audrain Medical Center.
