Alma Fern Campbell, age 82 years passed from this life on Sunday at 10:35 AM, March 21, 2010 at Golden Living Center – Pin Oaks Nursing Home, Mexico, MO. Alma was born in Jefferson Township, Missouri on June 14, 1927, the daughter of Emmitt Newton Vaughn and Mary Clairy Moore. Alma was a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Emmitt Newton Vaughn and Mary Clairy Moore; one infant daughter, Debra Lynn Campbell and her loving husband of 55 years, George Burney Campbell. Also, one brother, William Moore and a sister Virginia Moore-Neil.
She is survived by 8 children, Bernard Campbell and wife Nancy of Big Springs, Mary Jane Murray of Paris, Gloria Fern Thomas of Fulton, and the following children from Mexico, Pam Eisenhauer, Kenneth Campbell and wife Kathryn, Russell Campbell and wife Cynda, Gene Campbell and Terry Campbell and wife Tammy.
Alma was the grandmother of 18, Great-grandmother of 23 and great-great grandmother of 4. She was also the step-grandmother of 8 and step-great-grandmother of 23. She leaves behind a host of friends, loving cousins, and extended family members.
