Burial: Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, following the service.


Obituary
Virgil Leon Stull of Mexico, passed away January 23, 2010 at Lake Ozark Regional Hospital at the age of 82. He was born on August 5, 1927, to Charles Otis and Virgie Gertrude (Skinner) Stull in LaCrosse, MO.

He graduated from Ethel High School, Ethel, MO, in 1945. He worked as a time keeper for the Sante Fe Railroad until he entered the Army Air Corps where he served in Alaska until his discharge as a Sergeant in 1947. On July 5, 1947, he married Lena Louvita Burnham. He and Lena were married for 62 years and long-time residents of Mexico, MO.

He worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline retiring in 1984 after 30 years of service. Virgil also worked as a Real Estate agent for 20 years in Mexico, MO.

Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jynell Louise; and one brother, J Dale Stull. He leaves behind his wife, Lena; one sister, Verla and her husband Junior Ford of New Cambria, MO.; one brother, Kenneth and his wife Mary, of Macon, MO.; four sons, eleven grandsons, two granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren.

Virgil and Lena’s sons and their families include: David L. and his wife, Wanda, live in Jefferson City, Mo. Their children are Aaron and Tiffany Stull and children, Anna, Hallie, and Samuel, of Centennial, Colorado; Chuck and Lori Stull of Crocker, MO;

Kavan L. and his wife, Lynne, live in Oronogo, MO. Their children are Rebecca Stull of the home; Ashley Stull of Oronogo, MO; Stephen Stull of Montreal, Canada; Andrew and Dawn Stull and children, Gabrielle, Emily and Joshua Stull live in Lawrence, KS;

Ivan L. and his wife, Georgia, live in Harrisonville, MO. Their children are Dustin and Cara Stull of Springfield, MO; Jeremy and Catherine Stull of Utrecht, Netherlands; Travis and Rose Stull of Kansas City, MO; Casey and Cody Stull of Norman, OK.

Robin L and his wife, Teresa, live in Lake Ozark, MO. Their children are Clint and Danica Stull of Kansas City, MO ; Jordan and Lexie Stull of the home.

He enjoyed many hobbies hunting, fishing and bird watching, and also had a great passion for painting farm scenes.

Virgil loved his Lord and his church. He was a member of Centennial Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and on many different committees.
