Obituary
Patricia Lucille Curtis, 63 of Mexico, died at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Patricia was born Aug. 21, 1946 in Paris, the daughter of Warren and Edna (Beechum) Edwards. She married Nathaniel "Bud" Curtis.
Mrs. Curtis was a member of Berean Christian Fellowship Church. She worked as a nurse at the Missouri Veterans Home for 20 years, Audrain Medical Center for 13 years and at Lakeview Bend for five years.
Survivors include her husband, Nathaniel “Bud” Curtis of Mexico; her children, Kristy Edwards of St. Louis, Allen Wilson of Cameron, Teresea Veasley of St. Louis, Marvin Edwards of Mexico, Randy Curtis of Mexico, Natalie Curtis of Mexico, Priscilla Curtis of Columbia, Catina Hendrix of Columbia and Tavonne Curtis of Columbia; her step-children, Russell Galbreathe of Milwaukee, Wis., Carmen Henderson of Columbia, Chester Thompson of Hannibal, Cody Potter of Licking, Larry Curtis of Kansas City, Kan. and “Pappa” Holmes of Potosi; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Warren Edwards Jr. of Moberly and Jerome Edwards of Moberly; three sisters, Kathy Scott of Mexico, Valerie Davis of Des Moines, Iowa and Sheryl Leverette of Des Moines, Iowa.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Terrell Edwards; one daughter, Michelle Edwards; and one sister, Karen Edwards.
